The Alpha and His King: Kincaid Pack book 1: Kiki Clark

I love this book. I love this universe, and I love this author. Kiki is the best.

THE ALPHA AND HIS KING is book one of the Kincaid Pack series, and sets the stage for an entire group of shifters finding their mates & problem solving a big bad. This universe also branches out into a stand alone (adjacent) and at least book one in another pack's series.

I remember reading this for the first time and being captivated.  From the moment Kai comes out of that shed swinging that rake, I loved him. Rick is the alpha-iest alpha, and all the enforcers and betas serve as constant character dramas and entertainment.

Rick and Kai have killer chemistry.

The scene with Veronica, Drago  & Kai had me not even BLINKING. I didn't want to miss a minute. The family dynamics between Kai, Samantha, Callie, and Henry were amazing. Ms. Beth needs to be protected at all costs.

I could go on and on. This story is great. This universe is great. I've reread this book MULTIPLE times, and I ABSOLUTELY recommend this book.

The Legend Next Door: Totally Pucked Book 2: Jesse H. Reign

I think this may be the hardest review I've ever had to write. I can't believe I'm saying this because I genuinely believed that Unbreak Me would remain my favorite Jesse book of all time... but THE LEGEND NEXT DOOR has, without a doubt, taken that spot. Granddaddy's Law: Wolfe Productions

It's rare for me to go all in on a taboo story. Mainly because I need a little plot to enjoy a story and most taboo is just porny erotica. Which, to each their own, we don't yuck anyone's yum here - but I need some plot. My little corner of booksta was popping OFF about the latest taboo story, a collab of dark romance writers Brea Alepou & Skyler Snow. I've enjoyed their work in the past, and was told by a trusted booksta friend that Grandaddy's Law did in fact have a plot in addition to the porny goodness that had everyone OMG-ing the day away.
