White Noise: Lark Taylor

Original review, 2023 πŸŽ‰ this story was great and a great kickoff to what looks to be a great series.

Imagine: You are literally having the shitiest day you can remember, all on the day of your big interview. Not only do you see something that completely shakes up your life, and you might even lose your home... you end up trapped in an elevator with a rock star. Like Harry Styles, popularity level musican. Listen, in my mind, Luca is Harry Styles. Let me have this.

You're in the elevator, and things HAPPEN.

Five months go by, and things are going surprisingly well. Then, all of a sudden, you're forced on a six week assignment - with the band that Harry Styles, sorry, I meant LUCA, is the lead singer for. You're back seeing him every day and coming to terms with what changed in YOU after the elevator situation.

Poor Ollie πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ the man just wants to live, and now he's having to have all these feelings. Not only is he having feelings, but Luca is hot, and that's a problem.

Throw in bodyguards and band mates and a [redacted] band manager PLUS the general worry that encompasses losing your job if things go sideways. Ollie is trying to live, but he's falling in love.

This was a highly entertaining and enjoyable story. I look forward to seeing all the band mates fall in love, but especially Arlo. Lark eludes in the epilouge that something bad happens in the two year break between the end of the story and the epilouge. I wanna know, but it will probably be the last book, so I just need to be PATIENT and wait, CALMLY.

* I am a coffee addict with anxiety. It's hard to be calm, but I will TRY.

I can't recommend this enough if you're wanting a little escape from reality. Absolutely recommend!

• rockstar/journalist
• bi-awakening
• they both fell so fast
• down BAD
• anxiety rep
• band as a family
• forced proximity

This story holds up so well! 4.75⭐️ Still absolutely recommend it. Caffeine Daydreams (the band) show up all over the Lark-verse. So it's always a sweet little Easter egg.
