Himbo: Elite 8 series book 4: Emmy Sanders

4.75 ⭐️ original review: Himbo is book 4 in the Elite 8 Studio series and ... when I tell you that this book is SWOONY and full of feels, I need you to believe me. I was a blob of goop after reading this one. *sighs dreamily* I laughed and cried, and this love story was magic.

Cas [Himbo] is more privileged than most. But with that comes feelings of inadequacy, and it doesn't help that he's had a run of partners that just use him for [insert greedy ways here]. He just wants to be happy and feel worthy. His entire backstory is full of things that make you wanna go full feral protection mode.

Jason is the barista at Hyped, the coffee shop near the studio. He works full time and is wrapping up nursing school, and he has a backstory that is gonna make you wanna HUG HIM. Throw in the fact that he's demi and a virgin. He feels like he'll never meet the one who thinks he's worth the wait.

Thanks to Alex's meddling, Cas and Jason meet. Their meet-cute disaster is adorable, and what follows next is a BEAUTIFUL story full of so much heart and emotion, I'm still crying as I write this out.

I'm purposefully keeping the details vague. But just know going in if you're looking for : big feelings, big moments, found family, strippers with hearts of gold, wonderful besties, cute nicknames, feelings of inadequacy, big hearted mcs who just want to do good even though they already are... this may be for you. It's also great if you've read the other books because the cameos from previous characters are great, but you can read this as a standalone and not feel lost.

I absolutely recommend this one, especially if you want a read to feel the smooshy feels.

Happy release day, Emmy. Another wonderful story, and a sweet look into Elite 8 studios!!!

✨️Today's reread✨️

I legit forgot how good this book was. How did that happen?

Himbo, Elite 8's newest preformer, finds his person in Jason, the barista from Dix's coffee shop.

This story was beautiful and emotional. Cassius (Cas) has always been treated like an object, a commodity. He has been used over and over by previous partners. From a wealthy family he has never really felt like he fits in and he struggles where his siblings succeed. When Alex (Tink) "match makes" him with Jason, he is happy to give it a go.

Jason, who in previous books has appeared shy and clumsy, is incredible. We get a strong demisexual king, blossoming into the pleasure top of Cas's dreams. With his own emotional background, his fierce protection and adoration of Cas, Brad the roommate, and his doggedness to finish school and become a nurse - Jason offers himself up to Cas as someone who SEES him. Not the smoking hot body.

What really gets me most is how KIND Cas is. He is the sweetest character ever, and throughout the story I found myself super emotional. This man would happily give anyone everything. And thank goodness Jason just wants Cas to be himself. Don't get me started on snowflakes. I will cry again.

Cas's love language is giving gifts, and even though the joke is that Jason's love language is eating ass, I think his real love language is his protectiveness and the way he always seems to carve out time for Cas and remind him how important he is. How valued and loved he is.

I continue to LOVE this series. Seeing all the characters from the previous books, and meeting new ones. Like Brad and the little peek into Kipp and Teddy.

• barista/p○rn star
• nurse (healthcare)
• medical diagnosis
• first times
• aspec representation
• emotional snowflake scenes

I absolutely recommend this one, and suggest reading the series in order with no skips. It makes each story so much better!!!
