Keep You Safe: Second Chance Ranch book 2: Annabeth Albert

I just finished KEEP YOU SAFE, and it was I-N-C-R-E-D-I-B-L-E. Truly. The Second Chance Ranch series has been such a treat, and Grayson and Adler stole my heart.

A city boy helping on a ranch and an older foreman who doesn't think anyone will stay, let alone the freckled red-haired ray of sunshine.

Things in this story that had me hooked:

• Sobriety

• Spanking

• Begging

• Cowboys

Adler and Grayson were sweet and steamy, but it took a while to get there. I love when the mcs have to work for their HEA.

Adler's sobriety and recovery were a big part of who he was & I love that we got to see an addict in recovery LIVING. He went to meetings and didn't shy away from his past. He was moving forward and healing and being himself.

Grayson was such a grump. He'd had a hard life too, and seeing him fighting against himself was entertaining and irritating. But also realistic. Life is scary. Love is a risk. I get it, boo.

So yes. As much as I loved Colt and Maverick's book... Adler and Grayson were CHEF'S KISS. Annabeth Albert always seems to get right to the heart of the matter, and this was another five-star read for me. These cowboys are definitely gonna be moved to my reread folder.

The Legend Next Door: Totally Pucked Book 2: Jesse H. Reign

I think this may be the hardest review I've ever had to write. I can't believe I'm saying this because I genuinely believed that Unbreak Me would remain my favorite Jesse book of all time... but THE LEGEND NEXT DOOR has, without a doubt, taken that spot. I loved this book. I LOVED IT. Jesse chose violence with this one because I died multiple times while reading. Died. Dead. Ben Stirling. Holy hell. BEN STIRLING CAN GET IT. Brim Over Boot: Darling Brothers book 2: Emmy Sanders

Oh my god, I am UNWELL. I shouldn't be surprised, but this one snuck up on me. BRIM OVER BOOT was fantastic. I'll be the first to admit that enemies to lovers is not my go-to genre. But Colt and Noah were damn enjoyable to read. From the beginning, you could see that Noah was under Colt's skin, and I was so here for when things started happening. And lord did they! Their love story is packed full of humor, rivalry, ridiculousness, and miscommunication/misunderstanding. They're idiots, your honor. But they're also SWEETHEARTS. Colt's struggle and fight along with Noah's possessiveness and patience. It's swoony over here! I loved seeing the Darling family again and meeting Walter. AND the Darling donkey cameo!
