Mountain Boss: SJ Tilly reread!

You already know where this is going. SJ Tilly is my favorite hetero romance writer, and she DELIVERED with Mountain Boss.
Courtney was amazing. And even though Sterling was a hottie and deliciously dominant, COURNTEY stole the show for me. Like, will she be my girlfriend?! What a dreamboat!

I don't wanna spoil anything, so I'll try to be vague. The love story, bangin' when it popped off. The spice, nice! And a bit "rougher" than I was expecting, but I was 100% here for it. Their dynamic totally worked for them.

These two mcs were LONELY. It broke my heart how much they needed each other. The possessiveness was perfect 👀 looking at you, Big Joe.

Other amazing story points I loved: the landscape. The other employees at the lodge. Courtney's badassery. Ben! The hot tub scene. The-Earl-Had-To-Die moments. Spike! The leg holding. Sterling's habit of taking specific dirty laundry. Everything, all of it.

Sterling was a bit of a disaster-baby. I mean, he was an absolute mess. Bless his heart. There were times I didn't wanna like him, but I just couldn't help myself.

I LOVED THIS BOOK. It broke my heart and sewed it right back up. Y'all can fight over Sterling, and I'll be over here crushing on Courtney, cause what a babe!

Reread 06/05/25: still love the book. Just as enjoyable on the reread. Things that popped out more: LADYBEAR. Courtney's tenacity. Sterling's dummy-ness. Now I'm forward to Mountain Daddy even more!

The Legend Next Door: Totally Pucked Book 2: Jesse H. Reign

I think this may be the hardest review I've ever had to write. I can't believe I'm saying this because I genuinely believed that Unbreak Me would remain my favorite Jesse book of all time... but THE LEGEND NEXT DOOR has, without a doubt, taken that spot. It's rare for me to go all in on a taboo story. Mainly because I need a little plot to enjoy a story and most taboo is just porny erotica. Which, to each their own, we don't yuck anyone's yum here - but I need some plot. My little corner of booksta was popping OFF about the latest taboo story, a collab of dark romance writers Brea Alepou & Skyler Snow. I've enjoyed their work in the past, and was told by a trusted booksta friend that Grandaddy's Law did in fact have a plot in addition to the porny goodness that had everyone OMG-ing the day away.
