I would have rated this 5⭐️, but it's a novella and I would have read 300 pages of Tate & Sully. So alas, only 4.5, for teasing me with a big romantic HEA.

Ugh, I'M IN LOVE. Maya Jean's JUST A FLING was such a good little shortie novella, packed with ROMANCE.

Tate, the overworked 40 year old heart surgeon, spurned by his ex-husband. And Sully, the 30 year old defensive safety, who has been looking for a home his whole life.

*swoons*

Could what is supposed to be JUST A FLING turn into a sprawling romance? YES, BITCH. Because Maya Jean wrote it.

I loved how romantic this story was and how Sully seemed to be just what Tate needed, and Tate was everything Sully ever wanted.

The Legend Next Door: Totally Pucked Book 2: Jesse H. Reign

I think this may be the hardest review I've ever had to write. I can't believe I'm saying this because I genuinely believed that Unbreak Me would remain my favorite Jesse book of all time... but THE LEGEND NEXT DOOR has, without a doubt, taken that spot. I loved this book. I LOVED IT. Jesse chose violence with this one because I died multiple times while reading. Died. Dead. Ben Stirling. Holy hell. BEN STIRLING CAN GET IT. It's rare for me to go all in on a taboo story. Mainly because I need a little plot to enjoy a story and most taboo is just porny erotica. Which, to each their own, we don't yuck anyone's yum here - but I need some plot. My little corner of booksta was popping OFF about the latest taboo story, a collab of dark romance writers Brea Alepou & Skyler Snow. I've enjoyed their work in the past, and was told by a trusted booksta friend that Grandaddy's Law did in fact have a plot in addition to the porny goodness that had everyone OMG-ing the day away.
