It's been a hot minute since I've read PROTECTION, and I had forgotten how FUNNY it was.

Mads has it BAD for Anthony Edgerton, the security guru guy. Anthony may also have a thing for Mads, but he's trying to be all professional about it. And they're both failing!

This story packs a whopper of a punch. There's mafia hijinx, international espionage & spy stuff, spicy times, abductions and rescues, serious flirting, and a VIENNA EXCEPTION. Iykyk.

I'm here for Mads' puffer jacket. And for Anthony's soft underbelly. I was 100% here for their chemistry - whoo wee, they get up to it. There's the size difference and the "I knew you'd kill everyone to get me back." It's 🔥🔥🔥

I like that the billionaires are trying to do good and don't really want to be billionaires. Mads, Rand, and Ford try to do right by people even though they allare billionaires and seem to have a close tie with the mafia.

Oh! And I love Anthony as the do gooder, law abiding consigliere. It weirdly works, especially with Hopper to do the dirty work.

This is classic found family and community with the ties to Texas that Kelly does so well.

And just for the record, I made this silly little meme based post because Mads' internal monologues are hilarious when he's mooning over Anthony just existing.

The Legend Next Door: Totally Pucked Book 2: Jesse H. Reign

I think this may be the hardest review I've ever had to write. I can't believe I'm saying this because I genuinely believed that Unbreak Me would remain my favorite Jesse book of all time... but THE LEGEND NEXT DOOR has, without a doubt, taken that spot. It's rare for me to go all in on a taboo story. Mainly because I need a little plot to enjoy a story and most taboo is just porny erotica. Which, to each their own, we don't yuck anyone's yum here - but I need some plot. My little corner of booksta was popping OFF about the latest taboo story, a collab of dark romance writers Brea Alepou & Skyler Snow. I've enjoyed their work in the past, and was told by a trusted booksta friend that Grandaddy's Law did in fact have a plot in addition to the porny goodness that had everyone OMG-ing the day away.
