Finlay: Wild Edges book 1: Lark Taylor

Y'all, FINLAY was everything I hoped it would be and more, honestly.

Lark brings her sprawling storytelling, a sweeping romance packed with feels, and we get a hunky ripped wolf shifter. Yes, please.

As much as I loved Finlay and seeing the wolf bros and more of the shifter clan, CHESTER and Reid stole the show for me.

In Damned Collections, the short story collection, we meet Chester, and I KNEW this man would be my favorite. Even with everything he's been through, he's an absolute sweetheart. This isn't a spoiler, but there's a moment when he's thinking of his "Uncle Cal" and wishing he had gotten to know him... and WE know who Cal is... but Chester doesn't. And it's so remarkably sweet, and it just made me emotional. But that's so Chester, and seeing him in his shop and trying to get by... he's just so charming, and I so badly wanted him to get his HEA. AND HE DID!!!

I loved Finn and Chester. I loved how they were together and who they were to each other. I loved how much care and attention Chester put into his floral arrangements. I loved how their story progressed. I just loved them. So so much.

Devil's Mark and Cal & Oscar will always be my favorite. But I think Finn and Chester have moved into the number two spot.

Lark, i love you. Thanks for this universe and these supes who just warm my cold dead heart.

The Legend Next Door: Totally Pucked Book 2: Jesse H. Reign

I think this may be the hardest review I've ever had to write. I can't believe I'm saying this because I genuinely believed that Unbreak Me would remain my favorite Jesse book of all time... but THE LEGEND NEXT DOOR has, without a doubt, taken that spot. It's rare for me to go all in on a taboo story. Mainly because I need a little plot to enjoy a story and most taboo is just porny erotica. Which, to each their own, we don't yuck anyone's yum here - but I need some plot. My little corner of booksta was popping OFF about the latest taboo story, a collab of dark romance writers Brea Alepou & Skyler Snow. I've enjoyed their work in the past, and was told by a trusted booksta friend that Grandaddy's Law did in fact have a plot in addition to the porny goodness that had everyone OMG-ing the day away.
