The Legend Next Door: Totally Pucked Book 2: Jesse H. Reign

I think this may be the hardest review I've ever had to write. I can't believe I'm saying this because I genuinely believed that Unbreak Me would remain my favorite Jesse book of all time... but THE LEGEND NEXT DOOR has, without a doubt, taken that spot. I loved this book. I LOVED IT. Jesse chose violence with this one because I died multiple times while reading. Died. Dead.

Ben Stirling.
Holy hell.
BEN STIRLING CAN GET IT.
Where did he come from 👀
I need to know.
Jesse. How do I get a Ben Stirling, please?

And Jeremiah.
JELLY.
Oh my god, Jelly.

Both mmcs had no right to be as perfect as they were. It's just uncalled for. My heart can't take it.

And Luca. 😭😭😭😭 I usually don't like kids in books, but Luca was such a sweet little character- and seeing Ben with his son was SO SWEET. But seeing Jeremiah with him was so much sweeter.

The grief? God. It hit like a punch. The biawakening? Felt as natural as breathing. Believable, too.

The chemistry? OFF THE CHARTS. The hockey part was great as well, especially Jeremiah's watching of the games. BEN STIRLING isn't real, and he has no right to be so hot. The ritual?! The ----------? I was not prepared. The two of them together? Oh, LORD, help us, I won't ever recover.

Everything about this book was a win for me. EVERYTHING. I don't know enough words to express how lovely, amazing, wonderful, and smokin' hot this book was. If you need a star rating - the closest I can give you is GALACTIC. Like, let's call Neil Degrass Tyson, and maybe he & NASA can tell us how many stars are in existence. Because whatever number that is... add a few more.

THE LEGEND NEXT DOOR was a dream to read. I want to reread it again right now. And I will definitely want to reread it tomorrow. Like I said, it checked every box for me.

Ben Stirling & Jeremiah's story releases on
May 8th. Eventually, I'll be able to talk more coherently about this book, but today is not that day.
