Y'all. This book is wild.

At 58% of the way through: I legit hate both of the main characters.  But kind of like how you hate-watch reality TV. I'm absolutely going to finish this story because I want to know what happens, but 👀 for real?!

One minute, I love the FMC Lexie. Get it, girl. Then something stupid happens, and I'm 🙄. I immediately think Callum is going to be an awesome baddie mafia guy. But then he's running around like an emotionless robot.

JUST TALK TO LEXIE YOU IDIOT. She would be super down if you just told her you were looking for a kid! But he continues to do stupid stuff, and she continues to be mad at the stupid stuff. He just needs to talk to her.

Then the TINDER GUY. ARE YOU FOR REAL?! CALLUM. JUST TALK TO HER!

They just did the deed. And she wakes up in the middle of the night and is like, no. Never again.

LEXIE, YOU'RE DEFINITELY GONNA DO IT AGAIN. YOU ARE SO INTO CALLUM. JUST TALK TO HIM.

AND WHAT ARE YOU HIDING?!
She is definitely hiding something.

😂😂😂 lots going on here, and I'm gonna get to the bottom of it.

After finishing the story: I was super entertained. These characters were lovely and infuriating in equal measure. I was annoyed and also here for everything that happened.

They end up together, squabbling and flirting the entire way. He is OBSESSED with her and it just sort of works? 4⭐️

The Legend Next Door: Totally Pucked Book 2: Jesse H. Reign

I think this may be the hardest review I've ever had to write. I can't believe I'm saying this because I genuinely believed that Unbreak Me would remain my favorite Jesse book of all time... but THE LEGEND NEXT DOOR has, without a doubt, taken that spot. It's rare for me to go all in on a taboo story. Mainly because I need a little plot to enjoy a story and most taboo is just porny erotica. Which, to each their own, we don't yuck anyone's yum here - but I need some plot. My little corner of booksta was popping OFF about the latest taboo story, a collab of dark romance writers Brea Alepou & Skyler Snow. I've enjoyed their work in the past, and was told by a trusted booksta friend that Grandaddy's Law did in fact have a plot in addition to the porny goodness that had everyone OMG-ing the day away.
