His Prince: Cora Rose

When I tell you that you need to read THE SILENCER and HIS PRINCE. Believe me. I'm not lying!!!! These two books are amazing and dark and morbid and also rom-comy. It should not work, but it absolutely does. I adore a good mafia romance, and Cora Rose delivers.

HIS PRINCE is an arranged marriage for mafia purposes, and that is totally on my list of favorite micro-tropes. Angelo ✨️Angel✨️, is married off to Mikhail Ivanov. It's business and protection. We get hints about there being more to the plot in book one, and book two is full steam ahead.

Angel is newly married, in love with his husband, and ready to make this new place his home. But after "consummation," Mikhail bails, and Angel realizes this isn't his fairytale happily ever after.

Truly, what follows is Angel being 100% a badass. I adore his character and how he approaches this entire situation.

There's Russian bodyguards, secrets, a push & pull between our two mcs, serious plot, series spicy scenes, Bane, and so many new characters that worked their way right into my heart. And the mystery! What is happening?

The 330ish pages flew by while I was reading, and I couldn't put HIS PRINCE down. I laughed and cried and found myself heavily invested in Angel's happiness.

I loved The Silencer, book one, and Cora Rose did not disappoint me with HIS PRINCE. Angel deserves the whole damn world, and he got it.

HIS PRINCE is out December 13th. If you haven't yet, there's still time to read book one, and book two is so so so so worth it. This duology has DEFINITELY been a favorite this year. I absolutely recommend them!

The Legend Next Door: Totally Pucked Book 2: Jesse H. Reign

I think this may be the hardest review I've ever had to write. I can't believe I'm saying this because I genuinely believed that Unbreak Me would remain my favorite Jesse book of all time... but THE LEGEND NEXT DOOR has, without a doubt, taken that spot. It's rare for me to go all in on a taboo story. Mainly because I need a little plot to enjoy a story and most taboo is just porny erotica. Which, to each their own, we don't yuck anyone's yum here - but I need some plot. My little corner of booksta was popping OFF about the latest taboo story, a collab of dark romance writers Brea Alepou & Skyler Snow.
