A Million Little Moments: Inevitable series book 2: Riley Hart

Oh, bless it. I continue on my journey of best friends to lovers stories, safe with the knowledge that it is by far the superior trope. ✨️sighs and swoons✨️

Jasper and Sutton have been best friends their entire lives. They're 26 now, and people are expecting them both to settle down - to leave the other behind.

Both mcs love each other. They're IN LOVE with each other. It just takes them both a long time to figure it out and/or act on it. Jasper and Sutton both have obstacles they have to maneuver & ways of thinking they'd be best served shedding. But they are SO IN LOVE. Jasper is the center of Sutton's entire world. Sutton is the heart in Jasper's chest.

It's just so damn romantic.

A MILLION LITTLE MOMENTS is full of amazing side characters, growth, love, big emotions, and hard conversations. But the love between Jasper and Sutton pulls the story forward. Neither one will let anything permanently come between them.

This is a story I don't reread often.  It gets me crying so hard.

"I think part of why it gets to me so much is because if you hadn't felt the same, I would've been him. I would've been alone, watchin' you fall in love, get married, have kids... Just spendin' my life quietly lovin' you." "Jesus. You ain't never gonna be without me again. You won't ever have to know what that feels like."  "I know." I smiled.

JUST SPENDIN' MY LIFE QUIETLY LOVING YOU. OH MY GOD, RILEY.

Jasper and Sutton. Both of these characters feels so real to me.

Jasper has to deal with not only coming to terms with his attraction to Sutton, but the knowledge that his mother and father will almost definitely abandon him. He also has to struggle with the internalized homophobia he was taught. He's such a sweetheart, and watching him struggle was so damn hard. It made the big moments feel better when we got to see him stand strong in who he was and his convictions. The scene after the bar, when he storms his parents house - it gets me every single time. Or the scene when he breaks and tells them he and Sutton are together. The entire dinner where he keeps internally begging Sutton to *look at me* and we all know why Sutton couldn't.

And Sutton. God. That man. His pining is otherworldly. With Jasper, his obliviousness shielded him. But Sutton KNEW. He knew what Jasper was to him and oh how his heart just broke over and over. He would do ANYTHING for Jasper, and we all know it. Watching him agree to hide, when all he wants to do is live out and proud, and love Jasper. It always makes me lose it. It's so angsty. Because it's the big things, you know? The things you sacrifice for your person when you don't regret it one bit. ✨️sighs, the romance of it✨️

This trilogy is incredible. All three are available on KU. All three are big love stories. Don't sleep on the Inevitable series.
