Forgotten Romance: Saxon James
I'll admit to you, my dear friends, I was nervous about reading this. I worried it would be too angsty or just too sad. But I didn't stop to think it was a SAXON JAMES book, I really should have because I enjoyed this one. Forgotten Romance isn't at all like I was expecting, and I'm glad, because again... I was nervous!
Mack and Davey are married. They LOVE each other SO MUCH. They have two little kiddos. They have a nice house and good friends. Seems idyllic, yes? But Davey is a workaholic who is gone and traveling half the month. Mack is at home, missing his husband, raising two babies, and losing his identity. At the end of his rope, Mack suggests a divorce on a whim, expecting Davey to figure out a way to be home more. To put his family first. But Davey agrees to the divorce, and the story starts.
Two years later, Davey is home for 3 months. They both have the idea to woo the other back. But has the situation really changed? They both still love each other, but is it enough?
Like I said earlier, I didn't expect to like this one as much as I did. But I hadn't read a storyline quite like Mack and Davey's before. These two were absolutely ridiculous and a little oblivious. But they loved each other SO MUCH that even though they were divorced... they weren't really in their own hearts.
This really didn't feel like a DMC *divorced mens club* book, but I enjoyed it anyway. I like the Killborough setting, the sweet little town, and the ridiculous characters. I AM CURIOUS if we'll ever see Luke get his HEA. He has the potential to be a great mc.
FORGOTTEN ROMANCE is a great end of a great series. If you're looking for oblivious dads, made for each other dummies who love their family, second chance romance, found family friends, actual family, dangerous camping expeditions, and big romantic gestures then this one will be for you.
Forgotten Romance is set to release on August 8th. Add it to your tbr, and don't be afraidy-cat like me!
